OH MY GOD! Why Do The Clouds Look So Low
They look like feathers. Why do clouds have flat bottoms.

Why do the clouds look so low. It should be noted that condensation by itself does not cause precipitation rain snow sleet hail. A quick google turned up this. The warm air pushes up on the cloud and keeps it afloat.
The coming fog means that Earth will cool. Different layers of air around the Earth - our planet - move at different speeds at different times. As a result complex updrafts and downdrafts are created.
The vapor becomes small water droplets or ice crystals and a. High thin clouds trap some of the Suns heat. These tiny water droplets form clusters in which the air swirls about unpredictably due to the denser internal conditions compared to the surrounding external air.
So you might see clouds higher up moving faster than clouds lower down because the air the clouds are in is moving at different speeds in different directions usually too. The cold air affects the ability of the warm air to hold moisture. Another way clouds are named is by their shape.
The reason of course is that low clouds are very often within a few degrees of the surface temperature and thus are not distinguishable from cloud-free regions. Clouds are made up of tiny water droplets formed by rising water vapour as it cools. Earths clouds are sinking lower in the sky with fewer clouds at high altitudes and lower cloudtops in general says a new analysis of satellite data.
Cumulus clouds are middle clouds. The second reason that clouds can float in the air is that there is a constant flow of warm air rising to meet the cloud. Air also cant hold as much water when air pressure drops.
Type 1 cumulus clouds are flat and thin in appearance and indicate that the air that is rising to form them is not able to rise very far. The water rises cools and condenses. Clouds are just lots of little drops of water held in the air.
Why clouds are floating in the sky. Lowers the amount of moisture it can contain. At a certain point the warm air loses its ability to hold the water and it drops out in the form of precipitation.
In fact low clouds can even touch the ground. These are called thermals and they start with the sun warming the ground. Most of the time this is because there is insufficient heatinglifting or moisture to cause deeper taller cloud development.
Id guess that the proximity of the ocean has something to do with it similar to what lannanh observed in SF. Air when warmed becomes less dense and lighter than the air around it. Middle clouds are found between low and high clouds.
They look like feathers. Because they are formed by warm rising air. As a result the cloud base can vary from a very light to very dark grey depending on the clouds thickness and how much.
These clouds are too thin to. These low thicker clouds mostly reflect the Suns heat. This cools Earths surface.
Low clouds form closer to Earths surface. Some clouds are high up in the sky. When saturation occurs moisture becomes visible water droplets in the form of fog and clouds.
Cumulus clouds are middle clouds. This can look like rain or snow. Sometimes clouds will appear gray when the water droplets stack up and begin to build shadows inside the cloud.
Clouds form when warm wet air rises and condenses in cold air. Rising air expands as the pressure on it decreases and that expansion into. A cloud is formed.
These clouds are called fog. Cirrus clouds are high clouds. Off the west coast of the Americas the low-lying clouds were burned away and more sunlight came in so the way we saw it was the reflectance of the Earth had dropped he.
Another way clouds are named is by their shape. Atmospheric conditions perhaps. They tend to warm Earth more than they cool.
Cumulus big white fluffy clouds form at different altitude depending on temperatures aloft etc. In fact low clouds can even touch the ground. Cloud droplets tend to scatter light efficiently so that the intensity of the solar radiation decreases with depth into the gases.
Cirrus clouds are high clouds. When air cools its not able to hold all of the water vapor it once was. When air rises in the atmosphere it gets cooler and is under less pressure.
Low clouds form closer to Earths surface. These clouds are called fog. Clouds generally form survive and grow in air that is moving upward.
As the warm air drops in temperature clouds form where the two temperatures are in contact. Middle clouds are found between low and high clouds. To make matters worse this small temperature disparity is most often observed during the night precisely when visible satellite imagery is.
Instead the water vapor will condense as a rising column of air reaches 100 relative humidity since the relative humidity is a function of temperature. Saturation therefore is reached through evaporation and condensation respectively. Clouds are simply condensed water vapour so the height of the cloud isnt really buoyancy related ie they dont float.
Ice crystals high in the sky also scatter white light perfectly. Clouds within a mile or so of Earths surface tend to cool more than they warm. The ground in turn warms the air directly over the ground.
This warms Earths surface. Some clouds are high up in the sky. Clouds high up in the atmosphere have the opposite effect.
